Jogged around tonight's event, it was a good course and I still manage to make loads of mistakes. Lost some time at 3 helping someone out of the ditch but many a times I ran off in the wrong direction after taking the path of least resistance away from the control. Oh, nearly mis punched at the first control too, ran to the short course one and didn't check the code. Thankfully dad yelled at me and I went back and punched the correct one.

Massive thank you to Jo who gave my calves a good working over after the event. There is nothing quite like an al fresco massage on the side of the road using olive oil cos that's all you got.

Note
(sick)

Also the sore throat and lost voice I thought were the result of belting out 80s classics on Saturday night have turned into a full blown head cold. That'll teach me not to go paddling at 2am

Note

Not ticking the injured box just yet, but the bruise on my foot is a bit worse than I first thought. Took a rest day as I cant wear enclosed shoes as they dig into the bruise making it painful to walk.
