Trying to extend the road run, so the normal loop plus an out and back down church road. Found every ipod in the house was dead so had to run without...which is painful as someone with the attention span of a gnat!

Orienteering race 27:59 [4] 5.24 km (5:20 / km)

WEE 11, Ormeau. Fast and furious course around the park tonight, since I know the park well, I aimed to make the run as smooth as possible, making sure I knew exactly how I wished to exit the control as I can often loose time heading off in slightly the wrong direction. Only made one mistake, going to number 1, Sid told me going left was faster, I thought he was taking the piss so headed off like a bat out of hell and then realised he was actually right, doh!

Strength and Conditioning 55:00 [3] 3.05 km (18:02 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Serious arm and core session tonight, most of the running was done in the first half, running shuttles to pick up cones which equaled exercises for the other team, safe to say I was determinedly picking up the burpees cones! Second half included dips/press ups/bicep curls followed by crunches, reverse curls and cycling. I could barely scrape myself off the ground by the end of it

Orienteering 21:28 [2] 1.48 km (14:30 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrators

Contour only exercise in Cairn Wood, had to use local knowledge a couple of times, first to avoid a giant patch of brambles and then to relocate after I got pushed too far left coming up to a control again because of the undergrowth. Other than that it was good, although trying to work out what was on the map was a little bit tricky at times

Orienteering 21:55 [2] 2.21 km (9:55 / km)

Mini loops done as a head to head. Bobby and I were up against one another and it was a good little battle, he was faster than me uphill but kept overshooting the controls. We finished with a short course which effectively was the outside of the loops, hitch was fun, but I'd visited all the controls at least once before so not much map reading was needed
