Running (Road) 25:26 [3] 4.77 mi (5:20 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara 4

Another leg loosener to clock up the mileage. A few aches and pains but everything seems to be going back to normal.

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [3] 2.93 km (20:29 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Plenty of running in the first half tonight, we'd done most of the mileage by the break. He seems to have dropped the bib colours at the moment so I feel like I'm getting away with doing less than I should be, also since its got cold we aren't doing as much core work, may need Susan to tell him off!

Running warm up/down 2:57 [1] 0.4 km (7:22 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrators

Stood around talking for too long so didn't get much of warm up

Orienteering (WENT) 29:14 [4] 5.05 km (5:47 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrators

First night training of the year and was a fun one in Musgrave Park. 45 min time limit, 15 controls, the 'harder' version was to pick up the central control, followed by an odd and an even and then back to the central control before carrying on. 10 points a control, so a max of 220, I set off really hard with Declan and Mark H right behind me, Declan beat me into the first (just) and then we scattered taking different routes. Didn't really see anyone else and no one was taking my route so I had to motivate myself round the course. As I hit the final control I could see Declan just ahead to me, but I couldn't catch him on the way to the finish, but I was only 11s down on him overall :) turns out we were the only ones to get 220 and the next ones in with 210 were 7 mins slower, so I'm pretty happy with that!

Running (Road) 29:19 [3] 5.51 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara 4

Supposedly a leg loosener to break in the new shoes/ trial the hip on a hard surface. New shoes were great felt like I was rolling through the stride more than normal and getting a bit more bounce and my hip caused no bother. Physio said build up the road work and speed before headed back the track, so will concentrate on that for the next week or so. As for loosening up my legs, as soon as they stopped they seized up and hurt more than they did to start with

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [2] 2.73 km (21:59 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Easy session tonight made harder by the fact my legs were so stiff, really concentrated on certain muscles and then worked till failure, tonight it was quads, shoulders and triceps.

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [3] 2.12 km (28:18 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Lots of leg work tonight, lunges, squats (normal and jump) sitting against the tree and other such lovelies. Plenty of shoulder work too.
