Cycling (Turbo) 30:00 [2]
shoes: Saucony Progrid Omni 9

Decided just to do a gentle half hour on the turbo to keep the legs ticking over. Didn't take long to remind me why I'm not a big fan of bikes!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 1.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrators

Up to the start with mum

Orienteering race 1:02:13 [3] 5.6 km (11:07 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrators

It's amazing what slowing down can do for your navigation, first (almost) clean race in a very long time, one minor wobble right at the end, but spent most of the race battling with ColinH was slightly annoyed I couldn't run away from him, but I did make it through the entire race pain free :) it seems I have secured the win of the blue course with a race to spare, I think it's time to move up to brown.

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [2] 2.92 km (20:33 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Looks like this is going to be the training pattern for a while, was hardly out of breath tonight, starting to get fed up with the lack of speed work

Note

According to the physio I have weak hips, his solution, no speed work until they're strengthened in fact if it hurts when I jog I have to walk :(

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 50:00 [2] 2.17 km (23:02 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Took QUBOC training then over to parkfit, once again v.little running

Note

Physio booked for Thursday so hopefully my hip won't be a bother for much longer

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [3] 2.78 km (21:35 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Took it very easy on the running tonight and sat out some of the longer runs. But I have discovered the best exercise in the world, sit in a tyre and let other people drag you up a hill!

Running warm up/down 10:23 [2] 1.29 km (8:03 / km)
shoes: Saucony Progrid Omni 9

Gentle warm up with Susan to try and loosen off my hip

Running intervals 40:48 [5] 7.46 km (5:28 / km)
shoes: Saucony Progrid Omni 9

O god this hurt but not in a good way, 5 min interval down to 1 knocking 30s off each time, the first couple weren't too bad but then my hip started to really hurt, and instead of backing off the idiot that i am carried on regardless. I was happy enough with consistently hitting 1:40 laps but I knew I could be faster. The last couple I went really hard and was closer to a 93s lap but I'm not sure how long I can hold that pace for.

Running warm up/down 5:46 [2] 0.69 km (8:21 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Gentle warm down and some stretching
