Orienteering 1:57:01 [4] 9.3 km (12:35 / km)
ahr:155 max:182

SHI Individual - DNF. Well that was a pretty horrific day at the office, it didnt bode well from the start as when I went to put on my o-shoes they had disintegrated overnight but thankfully Aine had a spare pair otherwise I'd have had to tape them to my feet! The first couple of controls were fine, even the ones in the mist which surprised me, then came number 7, apparently I was so close on a number of occasions, but I ended up faffing around in the fog for 30 mins before deciding enough was enough and moving on, hit 8 and 9 perfectly and then lost confidence on the way to 10, vis had dropped further and I could barely make out the shapes in front of me let alone find a re-entrant so since id already mp'd I headed for home, picking up the last few before the finish. I was furious and disappointed in myself for not being able to finish, thankfully the other girls were able to do the job and we beat Wales for the first time in 4 years!!

Orienteering race 1:08:02 [5] 7.35 km (9:15 / km)
ahr:166 max:199 shoes: VJ Integrators

SHI relays, running second leg with Roz and Niamh C. Started off terribly as I couldnt find the first control and then completely overshot the second, I reckon I was 14 mins down by the time I punched the second. Then everything improved and I really enjoyed the rest of the course. I was able to start to push once some of the third leg runners started to pass me (whoops) on the plus side I still felt pretty strong at the end.

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [3] 2.52 km (23:49 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Easy session before the SHI, plenty of strength work and hardly any legs, which was pretty good considering how tired they were after yesterdays session.

Running warm up/down (WEST) 8:44 [3] 1.52 km (5:45 / km)
ahr:160 max:183 shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Found my hr monitor, yay! Warming up with EL and a few others, although we dropped them after the first lap.

Orienteering (WEST) 18:31 [5] 3.89 mi (4:46 / mi)
ahr:140 max:183

Final WEST of the year, a fun mass start practice with around 20 scattering each time we were set off. I felt good about my running, able to give a little bit more to keep up with the main pack. Managed to stay in the top 3 or 4 for most of them although I got the win in the 3rd. I managed to run straight past my control on the final interval and spent quite a while trying to work out what id done, its getting into headtorch territory now. But overall very happy with tonight.

Strength and Conditioning (parkfit) 1:00:00 [3] 3.04 mi (19:44 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

No tyre pulling tonight, we were pushing them instead but the grass was wet so it was easy enough. Will look to focus more on upper body and core and less on legs on thursday, having heard there is 495m of climb on the W21 course on sunday, I think ill need the legs feeling as fresh as possible!

Strength and Conditioning (Parkfit) 1:00:00 [3] 3.18 km (18:52 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrines

Most of the running was done in the first half, and it was tough! Dragging a tyre sled around one of the football pitches, or lunging/bunny hopping after the sled was painful. I didn't think I was gonna finish the class the way it was headed. Thankfully it calmed down in the second half, gonna take the rest of the week easy in preparation for the pain-fest that is the SHI
