Lopping. Garr Hill, portions of the trail thru the ParkQuest orienteering course. Focused mostly on a short section that was badly overgrown with honeysuckle, and some multiflora rose.
Saw a couple young ladies from Indianapolis who were attempting the red course.

Garden - probably at least 30 or 40 minutes but i didn't check a clock. Pulled weeds, turned over soil, planted 3 rows of beans.
walking 1:54:56 [1] 4.0 mi (28:44 / mi)
3.5 miles on trail, 0.5 on road. Started the hillside trail that parallels Scenic "Trail" (They really should still call the paved trail "Scenic Drive", the name was changed when it was gated and closed to cars a couple decades ago. I'm pretty certain that it was still open to cars when we mapped in '95, but closed not too long after that.)
Anyway, first half mile was pretty brisk but I couldn't resist slowing to break off a few overhanging honeysuckle branches. In the second and third miles, the honeysuckle got thicker and in some cases, it was almost essential to break some off just to get through. Eventually got through to where I had cleared trail this morning, then backtracked a little and took the old ride up to the road.
At mile 4, decided to start running for the last 2 miles, see next entry....
Miles 22:28, 28:20, 40:49, 23:19.
road running 22:36 [3] 2.0 mi (11:18 / mi)
Wasn't really dressed for running (hiking shoes, long pants), but decided to run the last 2 miles back to the car for a couple reasons... first, lots of rain forecast for the next couple days, so it might be harder (at least motivationally) to get a run in tomorrow, and second, if I ran, I would be able to complete my drive home before it got too dark (reducing chances of playing bumper deer).
Miles kinda slow, although based on the mileposts along the road, I think my gps cut the curves a little bit, maybe up to 4%:
