First run for a while. Great meet run by Jim and Rich. Met up with Paul and Kevin who put my navigation skills to shame on the Green course. I need to take a leaf out of their book and rely on keeping contact with the lay of the land and map instead of focusing on compass bearings which inevitably get me lost. Most fun I've had orienteering ever I think.

Right calf still sore from running in my hiking boots in Ansonia 2 weeks ago. Flared up at the end but didn't slow me down. Little stiff on the drive back but with the rest from sitting down, it was only slightly sore when I got home.

Took it very slow owing to my shin. Felt really solid but could tell I'd run in the morning. Definitely not running thats aggravating my shin. I could feel it early in the run but the discomfort had eased right back by the end which is encouraging. Another week or so and it will hopefully be back to normal.
