Note

about 45 miles this week, counting elliptical, etc. A little short but I worked hard for it. maybe 50-60 is sweet spot.

running (mostly grass) 52:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (10:00 @2) + (32:00 @3)
shoes: adidas boston boost 2

indoors warmup, then to recplex and back. 28 deg 13mph wind. brisk and it tapped some reserves.

Note

knees felt better after todays gym session too. Now I'd like to figure out if its the elliptical or the stationary bike, feel twinges on both to start, so maybe both. Maybe I should be riding my bike again.

Hate to say it but my knee hurt starting these, but not going down stairs after, so must be good therapy. which means i prob have to do again.

to n. edge of wilmore. 6 strides on return trip. always like to put on a nice land cruiser show for the geese. boston uppers are starting to tear, halfway thru min. lifespan (the weak point of these shoes). time for the shoe goo, i guess.

big hole to dig out of. feel weak. i guess big o-day on top of fasting, prep and anaesthesia was more of a stress than I thought.

indoors warmup and moving drills, 5 minutes walking wu/cd.

At cliff cave. Preceded by heavy sugar and chocolate consumption. Pretty good clip w map, tracking position on mostly unmapped trails pretty well. Great way to combine decent run training w some bonus orienteering skills.

On a side note, they have marked the path of the new asphalt highway aka bike path thru the woods. Going to eliminate a ton of trees, chase away the deer and generally have a very large impact on the nature of this venue. I realize I might be the only person in the world who cares about this...nonetheless, I am sad. RIP Cliff Cave as it was.
