yellow dog yoga e.s. 25:00 [1]

running drill at track, and strength and flex after

running 1:13:00

kind of a mish-mash. walked to track, stretched, did 7 x 400+ in lane 4 ranging from 1:50 to 1:46 (146 is about 136 for a real 400) w/ 2-3 minute jog between

then ran a 8:22 in lane 4...about 7:42 real mile. then jogged home, short strides at end.

Both achilles are very tender. Icing.

biking 45:00 [2]

low key local shakeout

am stretch

Note

calves and achilles tight on both legs, so soaked with hot water and massaged. The tightness is what got me introuble in the first place, so...gotta stay ahead of the tightness.

biking 50:00 [3]

nh, then picked up my new trailer from bike shop, loaded old trailer they repaired on new trailer and away we went. A lot of hauling power that is going to make truck and suv owners think....perhaps....hopefully...even a snowball has a chance in hell if it is big enough!

running 1:31:00

includes walking to track. then 9 (having so much fun I didn't realize i was doing this many) x 400+ (lap in lane 4 - probably about 425 real distance with this config) @ 1:50 - 2:00. short rests of 1:30 to gain CV benefit. Run Mantra for each lap: bounding, light stride, long stride, breathing - give it up. then jogged back home.

biking 1:05:00 [3]

garden duty, and then to city greens farmers market in imdtown

biking 10:00 [2]

wf/tj run. Felt really dizzy and wobbly on the way there - had plenty of rest and a good breakfast so don't know what was going on. Felt better avfter gorging myself on dates and cliff bar at wf. Bought about $100 worth of stuff there, honey (2 big jars), raisins (on sale), dates (a whole lot- on sale), chocolate, cliff bars. The only thing that wasn't sweet was rice and cheese!

walking 35:00 [1]

to track and between 200's

running 15:00 [2]

Warmed the calf up with hot water and massage at home, then the walk warmup. Then 5 x 200 at the track at an easy pace that was more bounding (which seems more calf friendly) than jogging.

Then alternating skipping and walking home in the gathering rain.

classic and run stretch

biking 20:00 [3]

library and supermarket

biking 45:00

in a light rain to pick up made-in-usa sprinkler (it sure weighs a lot more than the chinese ones) at Ace Hardware in Affton, maze of back streets.
Felt like crap though, something wrong with oxygen delivery.

In heaven, I'll meet everybody who put a dagger in my lungs with their SUV's and shake their hands, and they'll hug me and say they were sorry.

AND THEN, I say I'm sorry for judging them, especially those who needed an SUV for some signicificant purpose.

And now, I'm getting an SUV!

yellow dog yoga e.s. 12:00 [1]

mostly stretch and classic

walking (waboraskip) 1:29:00

thru wilmore and rdp to track. did 3 skipping 200's, 2 race-walking 200's and qone 200 when i tried to skip it turned into a modified bound, but it was ok. My best time was 60 flat for one of the skipping 200's.

I need to find some words of wisdom about when its healed, and how to ease back into running. I keep remembering a couple of days after injury how i tried the easiest softest jog i could manage and with the first step it would feel like it was tearing all over again.

biking 2:00:00

drop off some shoes to donate at BR, then to maplewood to drop off a present, then back to grants trail to big bend and back home - a good Sunday ride and finally some decent air - ha, just checked the AQI, it was actually borderline, but screw it.
