to and from bus stops on cross bike w/ pack for two races, bike and run.

10k 'Organ' run in Castlewood (to benefit kidney foundation). Up steep lone wolf climb to bluff, down lone wolf and across Kiefer Creek rd. and up Justins to Grotpeter, over Reis, down love, up to grotpeter again and down to finish.
Slowed mile 5 because they had changed the course from last year and thought there was a lot more running to do. Then sprinted hard at the end but not an even efffort. Felt more like a 5k than a 10k.

Great race course, healthier than normal post-race food, and age group schwag...but I wish these races would put in mile markers for confused people like me.

9th overall, 1st in 50-59, 50:59.4, 8:10 pace. Felt like a good effort, but I think I'm realizing I'm fooling myself and not pushing hard enough at certain times in the race. Thought I would do better.

Had ambitious plan to race CX at concordia also, but when I got to the fork in the road, I turned homeward. Done.

missed ride to mermec and even tho i had fathers car, didn't feel like driving that far alone. so, warmed up for the cross race, really hilly single-tracky course at Queeny, but so dusty I abandoned after 2 laps. Wish I had spared my lungs the 2 laps.

Not that long of a long run, but worked hard on the hills at Queeny and was tired out. Maybe the dust.
