to nursing home. boy, are we in for it. feels really hot and muggy and the humidity is only 57%!

slog out to CC w/ pack to set controls
running/map reading2:30:00
not sure why it took so long to put out controls...but maybe it had something to do w/ being tired, it being muggy, and buggy, and muddy, no buddy, low visiblity, scratchy, and fuzzy-wuzzy.
we need to have this meet a couple of weeks earlier next year, if it makes the calender again.
walking1:00:00 [1]
I'm logging this hour of walking at the nursing home to characterize the enduro aspect of the day!
up to community garden, early. some upper body work, wacking weeds w/ a trowel.
running1:00:00
uptempo (for me) run w/ DWI. loop around the river des peres bridges.
biking1:36:00 [3]
With trailer on grants trail to fathers house. Back w/ load of 50 6' long bamboo 'tomato stakes'. Sure got a lot of funny looks and surprised exhalations and comments as I went by.
walking/jogging to church.
14 hour drives don't feel much like a rest day.
biking1:20:00 [3]
To Cliff Cave and back. Not sure why it took me 10 less minutes on the way back, just getting uncorked I guess, letting it 'breathe'
running/map reading1:30:00
checking course for upcoming meet. started out quite fast, then got bogged down. walked around for 10 minutes trying to figure out where the pit immediately nw of the depression was. Turns out the 'depression' was supposed to BE the pit, the mapped depression was a nondescript shallow hollow to the southeast. So everything was right but the relative scales of the objects and their prominence could not be expressed on the map.
