All around the area...were going to follow trail to where it turned into dirt roadand then bushwack to cabin, but went off trail due to compass error, made a big circle thru aspen and fern glades, got to the point where we were going to bushwalk but didnt recognize it, the road wss just like the trail except for a sign. Ended up on the main road and hitched back.

Bif River Speedwork 'all comers meet'. Times were slow but felt good to be running out there. Nice weather. 800, 3:02 (tt, nobody near in my heat). 400, 1:18. Skipped the mile in between the 8 and the 4.

Took another day off, yesterday was close to passing out everytime i stood up or went up stairs w some weird nerve spasms in my arms. Perhaps heat induced, since I've been working outside quite a bit, in any case taking it easy.

alternate day and location to capitalize on 10degree cooler temps, but w recent rain, higher humidity. Good AQ though! (2) x 600, 400, 200 w 1.5R, 2.5 R sets @ somewhat over mile pace for 600, mile or slightly over for 400, somewhat under for 200.

Digging trenches/holes tofind leaking septic piping in rock/mucky clay mixture. Normally just log what is useful to running, but have not done much weight training lately, and the endurance aspect of this in the heat seems worth logging, so 1.5 of 4 hours.

BRR speedworkRunning in lane 2 and 3 in traffic so times are proximate. 4 x 400 @ 1:35 say, 3 x 400 @ 1:30 -, last 400 dragging behind everybody at 1:38. 2R, but I walked a little while everybody else did a little jog. 90 degrees, but the air pollution not too bad, and a breeze fr the west.

Warmup then 3 repeats on Rock Hollow ridge connector. FFRC groups to keep company. That has to be one of the most lovely valley re-entrants in STL and the slightly ever intensifying grade is like Woods without the traffic, albeit easier.
