Orienteering race 32:05 [3] 5.17 km (6:12 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Pursue 2

Metro race at Churchlands on a very hot day. Ran very conservatively and walked all the hills. Reasonably efficient route except for the hill climb and 10-28 where I could have gone through the kindergarten but at the time the map didn't look too clear.

Route was 2,11,12,25,10,28,27,23,24,29,1,5,6,8,7,4,3.

Road cycling 2:14:11 [3] 48.26 km (2:47 / km)
shoes: Bike: Beemer Auto

Yaay! Back on the bike and around the river with PP.

Great free service from Silver Chain. The urologist referred them, they emailed me with a list of 'essentials' (catheters and anaesthetic gel mainly) then a nurse came to my home yesterday to remove the old, permanent catheter and show/help me to do the intermittent ones. She came back 4 hours later for the next catheter, and again this morning. I've now also done 3 by myself. It's a bit uncomfortable, but far preferable to have 5 mins of discomfort a few times a day than to be uncomfortable all day and not be able to exercise. Hopefully it will become less uncomfortable as the days go by. Need to stock up with boxes of catheters and gallons of gel.

Little bit of discomfort for the first few kms on the bike, but ok after that.

Orienteering 46:58 [3] 4.24 km (11:05 / km)

Metro score event at Glengarry, walking - uncomfortably and slowly. Failed to start the Garmin again, remembered just before my 2nd control. I wasn't sure how long this had been, thought it might have been around 2-3 mins. Probably should have left one of the 10-pointers out (11 or 12) so that I could further embarrass two of our school team boys - who look like they don't have a decent watch between them.
