OMM day 2. Woke up exhausted from the cold & set of for an easy jog down the road towards the first control. Steep climb up took a while, but then we shot round the remaining controls & finished early without trying any heroics. Controls easy to find, near/on paths. Going underfoot pretty solid. A decent 300pts, 111th/180ish.

OMM, Black Mountains, Short Score day 1. Set off with an ambitious route, but after Jill fell in a stream and the snow started, had to revise plans & head for the finish. Got there with about 40 secs to spare after flipping an upside-down sheep (!) and making a mad dash for one more control. All easily found with no mist. Mostly on paths, but with one very unpleasant tussocky bog for 800m.Then spent a miserably cold night waiting for day 2.
