orienteering race 1:44:32 [3]
ahr:135 max:192

blue classic course. holy macaroni. quite the adventure but i was actually having sooo much fun. didn't make any large mistakes, just a few little ones. messed up 19 cause i got too exciting that i was near the end and lost all my concentration. oops, should probably work on that. felt real good about the race though and the routes i picked.

exactly an hour!!! teehee so proud!!! :) not proud of my first control though... spent 18 minutes running back on forth along this ridge. so ridiculous!!! i look at it now, and it's so obvious that i was not where i strangely thought i was... geepers. the rest of the course went just fine after that though. smooth like cream cheese... kinda. really tired on the hills, but i'm working on that part.

orienteering race 18:55 [3]

sprint race!!! woot woot!!! not used to the hot weather though and practically died. holy macaroni canada is soo much colder!! had a great race though, pushed hard and didn't make any technical mistakes!! everybdoy is just faster and has longer legs then me... my growth spurt shall come though!!!

orienteering 35:00 [3]
max:197

wednesday junior training. did one boulder sprint, then the longer sprint through andrew hayden park, then another boulder sprint, then another longer sprint through dick bell park, and finally one last boulder sprint. don't have the times for the longer sprints, but times for the boulder sprints are: 2:02, 2:12, 2:03. a could of us then memorized one of the courses and did it that way. soooooo hard!!! didn't mispunch but there were a few times when i was definitely not sure if i was going to the right control. without the map though, i did 1:58 on course C which was 4 seconds faster than the first time!!! cooleo!! :P

running intervals 45:00 [3]
ahr:164 max:194

4 x 5min with 2min rest. didn't feel right though cause i haven't been too well lately. headaches all the time and just overall crummy. the immense workload definitely doesn't help either though. my mum thinks it's low iron or something to do with donating blood back in march. a real bummer...

orienteering 2:06:08 [2]
ahr:141 max:177

toodling around lac la peche with eric and my dad. had course 8 from the national capital champs last spring so we did a couple controls from there and then made up a few of our own. still a fair bit of snow in the woods but only on the north side of the hills. didn't make too many mistakes, i just need to look at my compass more on bearings. ended it off with a line-o back to the truck which was boatloads of fun.
