Orienteering 45:00 [2]
shoes: Inov-8 OROC 280

Vetting with Max. Alternated leading on controls, he did very well on his, good signs, one control had an unmapped building nearby, very confusing, couldn't find a streamer, but we attacked from three different locations and hit the exact same spot three times, everything lined up but the building, checked out the road the building was on, confirmed the building was unmapped, everything. A little irked about that one. Generally a lot of fun, it's good for me to run with Max, he's an incredibly fast runner. He'll be orienteering very well very soon. We'll be vetting the rest of the map next weekend, it'll be a bit longer.

Whoops left my watch at home and his ran out of battery part-way through so I don't have any information regarding distance, location, or anything else related to that. I'll go back some other time and visit the locations where I thought the streamer was misplaced so we get an exact read of the streamer's location.

Misc 32:00 [5]

Frustrating in every possible way. We dominated the game, but no one's shooting. We lost 1-0 because of a free-kick we gave away because of a handball. Feeling really frustrated, feel like I should have taken my chances when I got them. I have an idea on how to fix that , going to try it at practice and next week's game. It'll be difficult though we're facing top of the league next week. Our team needs to start scoring, we are in dire need of shots on goal because right now we're not getting many.

More training, game tomorrow. Hopefully we play better than we trained (unlikely, that's not how practice works).

Easy Run 23:31 [3] 4.72 km (4:59 / km) +49m 4:44 / km

I was gonna run with Seth, looking forward to a nice run, he cancelled for reasons he did not convey, looked a little less forward to the run. After waiting for an hour and a bit after lunch, got out to running. Easy distance to get my body moving, running during the week will be a bit more difficult because they're already in the groove. Hopefully I can utilize these next two weeks properly so I'm competent in Vancouver.

Misc 1:00:00 [3]

Thighs are a little sore, playing was getting a little bit frustrating with several of my teammates not having the right ideas when they have the ball. Played okay, made a few spacial mistakes, but it was overall fun. I didn't get very tired during conditioning so either this conditioning is week or I'm getting a little more fit again. Good signs.

Easy Run 32:37 [3] 6.93 km (4:42 / km) +21m 4:38 / km
shoes: Adidas Supernova

Tomorrow's my soccer day, so hopefully my running muscles get a good rest. I don't want to overdo myself so early back into running. Friday will be another running day, and it looks like I'll have a day of orienteering (vetting) over the weekend. Even better, hopefully I can bring a friend and teach him at the same time.

My leg muscles were getting really tired, I'm going to want to get into good running form and strength soon for Vancouver. My ankle injury has passed or was at least subdued by the shoe insoles, so I'm good to go. We'll see how the next few weeks go.
