Started well, just behind the front keeping them in my sights, accidentally read to 8 on the way to 7 and took an un-ideal line, lost a good 20 secs or so but not much trouble. Completely spooned 9, saw a path T-intersection in front of me, checked my map and there was only one, reckoned I was on the right way and attacked. Turns out I must've hit an unfortunate deer path or something and tossed out several minutes, unbelievably frustrating and everyone was gone, kept up an okay pace for going solo, losing only here and there in the circle trying to spot the right knoll, decided not to bail and finish it up. V disappointed with that but it happens.
