Mountain Biking (Camel Farm) 1:11:39 [3] 14.17 km (11.9 kph) +243m
ahr:145 max:171 shoes: Giro Privateer

First time back to camel farm for just shy on 1 year (shy by 2 minutes on the start time).

No reason for the absence - a bit has changed now, the car park is gold coin donation and has bays marked. There is a green trail on the western side of entry road to get out to trails, there is a new green trail gridlocked (rode it both ways - wouldnt recommend downhill, loose and lack of berms made it less enjoyable).

Really enjoyed myself out there even though it was slow and I was feeling ill (bad tummy) but it was hot and dusty which detracted from it and I just wasnt in the mental zone to commit so just went along nice and easy.

Need to get out there more this year.

Running (SR - Duncraig Line) 47:30 [3] 7.29 km (6:31 / km) +125m 6:00 / km
ahr:170 max:184 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

Went and did the Duncraig timetrail line course - I knew there was hills - and to be honest I didnt find them too bad (was expecting worse) however they where enough to undo me in conjunction with the heat / post xmas weight gain / bad eating last few weeks.

Just felt a bit powerless out their and found myself walking a fair bit. oh well - at your own pace!

I changed my pre-planned course abit I think for the better - 1 resulted in a bit more climb so maybe not the best call there but I feel like I was pretty clean through the course. Must admit how I was feeling made it seem long around the 5-6 control point. Funny as last week I did another 1km in the same time and was pushing the whole way!

Was interesting doing a line course in the suburbs very different feel to it.

Friendly neighborhood though quite a few walkers out and about and people in their gardens greeting me as I shuffled past.

I look forward to improving my time trail later in the year when i am fitter and its cooler.

Running (Long Night Run) 1:12:16 [3] 9.99 km (7:14 / km) +106m 6:52 / km
ahr:143 max:159 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

Meandering run around my place with Wil. A bit sore as second run of day. shin sore towards end but not shin splints more a dull ache. Tummy not good and only just made it inside in time at end!

Bad chaffing/rash from the HRM strap. Other than those complaints nice run with some intermittent walking.

I gave Wil a batter from my lights as his had died - sadly I dropped it and cracked the plastic cover (no biggie) on closer inspection though it looked like I may have popped the base out. darn - it still worked fine but wonder if its properly damaged or superficial. find out when I get it back.
