Orienteering race (Thornlie-Crestwood) 54:20 [3] 6.97 km (7:48 / km) +27m 7:39 / km
ahr:163 max:184 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

Wanted to be out early - but ended up being a bit of a rush to the start - luckily they set us off a few minutes late which allowed me to orgnise myself and say hi to a few people.

Gosh pushing the pram off paths is hard work! However was nice to be running again and lungs felt near to 100% so hopefully I am on the far end of the tail end of this green crap now!

Controls where close together and reasonably simplistic - wish I could have gone solo would have been a fast run.

South first 2 - 1 - 28 - 24 - 23 - 22 -21 - 4 - 5 -14 - 7 - 13 (didnt read description so overshot it and came back) - 16 - 17 - 15 - 20 Dropped 18 and 19. At this point was thinking this is straightforward and simple - but Tash's master plan had lured me in and the internals where tricky after all.

North along road and back to 6 via 13/ path east of 7, then 8- 27 - 12 - 25 - realized I should go 9 first now because of exit strategy. - 9 - 26, shouted smile at the kids getting photgraphed in under pass - 11 - 10 east to main road - 29 where paul caught me just before the park - put the rockets on to go around the park in the same time Paul went through - apparently hit 4 min 37 here. didnt like this control as only had to leave pram on road which felt dodgy. Then coasted in with Paul to the end.

Overall pretty enjoyable run and well set - Also won the spot prize! yay for a control description holder, have wanted one for a while now.

ahr:158 max:167 spiked:17/17c shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

First run on the site (suburbrun.com) since the alpha testing phase. Wanted to do more but have been sick for past 2 months... and boy could I feel it no energy and really struggled to get going. All the same it was lovely being out there.

Course was nice a few challenging bits with all the right of ways but always felt comfortable knowing exactly where I was and just cruised along at my own pace. Beautiful afternoon for it.
