Mountain Biking (Camel Farm) 1:38:18 [4] 19.54 km (11.9 kph) +336m
ahr:160 max:183 shoes: Giro Privateer

Was hard work out there today - first time on the bike in ages and the fitness was certainly not there. - Ride was really nice, no problems and was nice and smooth.

Also the watch seems loads more accurate on climb and distance.

Gears felt good after I cleans and lubed them.

Bike fit - well this was an interesting change - body certainly was fighting it to try get in my old posture - interestingly when I didnt fight it the bike just felt right and there where moments where I felt I was getting good power for little effort - going to take some getting used to - particularly because I feel higher up and on pea gravel that sucks.

New Glasses / Gloves - The glasses - amazing I have always wanted a proper pair of cycling glasses and good god them where awesome, no glare, no fog up, good visibility, enhanced colours - very happy with them - the glove on the other hand (pun intended) sucked! they felt too tight and uncomfortable - might be ok for road bike but found on the technical stuff it was painful on my hands made my hands feel numb and generally bad. - hoping they would give a little but rather I got a blister from them.

Smaller hydration pack - heaps better - not much bouncing around and 2l was just right.

big ass saddle bag - wasn't annoying on my legs like I expected but I think i need to fill it better as the jiggling was noisy/distracting.

Was a nice was to open my 2016 exercise log!

Note

Given how I was feeling on this mornings ride - I was pleasantly pleased/surprised to see a number of PB's or near PB's.

Bike fit must have yielded more power because I am certainly not fitter or stronger...

mmm will be interesting to see if I get bike fit again what it could convert too.

Walking (Walking with Will) 47:42 [2] 4.21 km (11:20 / km) +26m 10:59 / km
ahr:116 max:129 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

Went to Subiaco for San Churros and walked home.

Took the opportunity to break in my new road runners - one first wear I was really worried internet shopping had let me down - they felt tighter than when I tried them in the store and basically uncomfortable - wondered if I had made a bad choice. I resolved to myself that the internet shoes had never been tried on and the shoe store had probably had quite a few wear theirs.

Sure enough after wearing them from and hour they felt comfortable and the walk home was quite nice as they softened to my feet.

Was warm out there too so sure my feet where larger than normal and also a bit battered from tennis last night too.

Looking forward to actually running in them as they feel a tonne lighter than the salomons.

Tennis (Tennis) 3:01:33 [4] 6.6 km (27:30 / km)
ahr:157 max:185

Another big game with Karlo,

And again a disappointing loss - just always slice not hitting the ball at all no confidence in my game. At least the first serve is still a rocket when it connects.

Score 3-6, 6-3, 8-10 (we play it like a championship in the final set)

Fitness still the issue - need new shoes and a new grip - but i cant blame them.

Also first use of 920xt, hey look it got the elevation right out of the box - and the distance feels much more realistic - not going to attempt to understand the osculation stats for tennis though.

apparently spent majority of time in HR zone 4.
also set times,
43.05, 44.24, 1:24:39 (lol)
