Walking (Walking with Will) 47:42 [2] 4.21 km (11:20 / km) +26m 10:59 / km
ahr:116 max:129 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

Went to Subiaco for San Churros and walked home.

Took the opportunity to break in my new road runners - one first wear I was really worried internet shopping had let me down - they felt tighter than when I tried them in the store and basically uncomfortable - wondered if I had made a bad choice. I resolved to myself that the internet shoes had never been tried on and the shoe store had probably had quite a few wear theirs.

Sure enough after wearing them from and hour they felt comfortable and the walk home was quite nice as they softened to my feet.

Was warm out there too so sure my feet where larger than normal and also a bit battered from tennis last night too.

Looking forward to actually running in them as they feel a tonne lighter than the salomons.

Tennis (Tennis) 3:01:33 [4] 6.6 km (27:30 / km)
ahr:157 max:185

Another big game with Karlo,

And again a disappointing loss - just always slice not hitting the ball at all no confidence in my game. At least the first serve is still a rocket when it connects.

Score 3-6, 6-3, 8-10 (we play it like a championship in the final set)

Fitness still the issue - need new shoes and a new grip - but i cant blame them.

Also first use of 920xt, hey look it got the elevation right out of the box - and the distance feels much more realistic - not going to attempt to understand the osculation stats for tennis though.

apparently spent majority of time in HR zone 4.
also set times,
43.05, 44.24, 1:24:39 (lol)

Tennis (v Karlo @ Claremont) 2:36:56 [4] 7.62 km (20:36 / km) +757m 13:46 / km
ahr:152 max:177

The climb is phenomenal - must have been all my arm movement lol - would love to know the gps accuracy.

First time back on the court in literally years

Went down 5-7, 7-5, 3-6

Felt like I had more in me, slightly disappointed but still a good first showing. Certainly going to feel a few things tomorrow!

Too much slice not enough hit.

Orienteering race (Xmas Special Freo) 58:08 [1] 4.05 km (14:21 / km) +29m 13:51 / km
ahr:120 max:154 shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3d M+

Went out with Paul and Timber - took it easy mainly walking a few light jogs.

good fun - surprisingly tricky without the map - particularly when the first control we went to was misplaced muhaha

Enjoyable morning out though.

Also had a small dog pee on me - surely must be good luck? :(

Apparently elevation gain was 0 - interesting! Elevation corrections on - 29m that seems more realistic?

Running (4km Loop) 23:30 [4] 4.01 km (5:52 / km) +42m 5:34 / km
ahr:168 max:177 shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3d M+

Been bitching and moaning about putting on the KG's again, not exercising and generally feeling crap and lethargic - well some positive action - actually doing some exercise.

Just my standard 4km loop - part of me wanted to do much longer but probably would have been to my detriment.

Resting HR was better than I expected pre run - had a decent stretch too because satellites took ages.

Wind suited my course SSW whilst gets me for some of it not badly.

Composure felt better than expected - mentally all there and wanting to push - upper body felt hunched regardless of how I adjusted my posture - not sure why. Also legs had 0 additional to give. Mentally and cardio felt like it had at least 10-15% but leg where taping out from a strength factor - endurance felt like I could go much further.

Oh well for the lack of consistency I am not dissatisfied with the time - just need to get out and do it a load more times now.

Sadly was on par with the last two times which was 5:48/5:48/ this was 5:52. meh!
