And another opportunity goes begging! Had a brilliant run except for control #15 where I lost 8:49!!!!! It should have been a straight forward leg. Come over the ridge pick up the line of rock features and follow it down to the control. Some how I completely missed it! Then went round in circles for a bit. Relocated from the tree root mound and gully at the top of the ridge AND STILL MISSED IT. Wandered around a bit more until I finally spotted it. It was a really well placed control and I'd like to say that the rock features might not be properly mapped there (but that's only because I couldn't match the mapped features to anything I was looking at and so might be more my problem than the maps). End of story is that what should have taken me under a minute took 9:42!! Other than that near perfect. Since Macey has been sick and hurt his ankle, I would have gotten the win but for #15.....
