Running warm up/down 10:41 [3] 1.22 mi (8:46 / mi) +1m 8:44 / mi

I was having some scary achilles/lower calf pain after Wednesdays training. Thankfully, I had no pain today! I'm glad I took the last two days off to speed up recovery. I think my leg was unhappy with being wrapped in tape and pounded on for long races three weekends in a row.

Running intervals 6:00 intensity: (4:00 @3) + (2:00 @4) 0.75 mi (7:59 / mi) +1m 7:57 / mi

8 x 15 sec sprint, 30 sec rest

Running warm up/down 11:03 [2] 1.13 mi (9:45 / mi) +3m 9:41 / mi

Yeah so I was even more sore this morning haha oh wells...
So happy to be able to run the Billygoat this year after injury prevented me from running last year! Started out fast chasing the boys and pretending to be speedy, but by the fourth control the Pygmy goaters had left and the pack was much smaller. I saw Keegan (woohoo!) and Alex at 4, but then we all made various mistakes to 5. I was running with Keegan and a bunch of others who had caught up to us because of our mistake until 9. I had decided early on to skip number 10 so I did that and I'm pretty sure I was the only one from that bunch to do so. Going to 14 I saw that most people were skipping it which made me a little nervous. 15 I went straight. Met up with Alex and Kseniya going to 16 and got to run with (mostly behind) them for the rest of the course.
