Sprint at UC Berkeley. This was one of the best designed sprint courses I've ever run here, with a multitude of traps and finely balanced route choice legs (I counted seven distinct, feasible route choices to #10). No mistakes were made, although I could have saved a few seconds by going southeast across the bridges to avoid the staircase on the approach to #14. Even this early in the day, the heat was an issue (near 30° C when I started); it would only get warmer as the day went on.

Middle at UC Berkeley. I tried to pace myself, but around #12, the heat simply became unbearable. I didn't make any mistakes; this was a runner's course with a lot of long legs and route choices and not too many technical sections.
