Core/Strength 25:00 [3]

Kind of complicated workout that I don't really feel like explaining. Finally invested in my first set of dumbbells though! Mostly upper/lower body stuff (not much core).

Running 48:30 [3] 5.88 mi (8:15 / mi)

So the problem with planning out a new route using gmaps is that you can end up with a much hillier run than expected...note to self: greenfield ave is literally just a giant hill. Still, it was a nice change of pace, although the one intersection on murray is a nightmare (like 6 different roads crossing), so I may try to avoid that in the future. My legs felt a bit tired at first from working out beforehand, but once they warmed up I felt pretty ok.

Running 57:45 intensity: (37:45 @2) + (20:00 @4) 7.0 mi (8:15 / mi)

Pyramid intervals today! 1-4 minutes (increasing in intervals of a minute) and then back down, with 1:1 jogging rest. It was finally a bit cooler and less humid today and I actually felt pretty dang good doing this! Averaged around 7 minute pace for all of the intervals, and was very consistent except for the 2 that involved going up/down the bridge ramp (with all the u-turns and such).

Tried going on a walk at lunch today and got myself a nice blister. I put a bandaid over though and it was fine running, although I looked like a cripple walking through the grocery store after work. Still pretty hot even though I waited til like 8 to run.

My weak attempt at finally doing some core/strength, but let me tell you it is hot, and the lack of AC really got to me while I was working out.
3X through each set:
Set 1
10 push ups
15 bicycle abs
10 lunge with knee up (each side)
10 rounds of walking plank (up/down)
Set 2
10 dips
10 single leg bridges (each side)
15 squats
10 plank spider (per side)
Set 3
10 pike push ups
10 lemon squeezers
10 side lunges (per side)
10 side plank dips (per side)
