Orienteering 1:22:52 [3] 5.7 km (14:32 / km) +130m 13:03 / km
shoes: Innovate 280

Orienteering at Mason Neck. It was muggy and hot and I was pretty sick, so I didn't really push myself on the run. It turns out I placed pretty well though, so maybe I should be sick more often (JUST KIDDING IT SUCKS.)

There were a lot of bingo-type controls, because the area was so vague, so it was pretty hit or miss. I guess I was pretty lucky, and I took good route choices, too, except for when I tried to go through a patch of dark green. That mistake cost me about 5 minutes.

Note

I have the flu or something. I'm pretty achey and gross.

Strength and conditioning 15:00 [5]

Core with special guest: Mom! Only she wasn't really into it after a few exercises. Takes after her daughter, I suppose.

Tennis 30:00 [3]

Played a game of tennis during 8th period with Ms. Shay, and then with Rushmie and Joseph. I call it "a game" but it was more of a "let's hit the ball back and forth and try not to miss it!" because none of us know how to play tennis except Ms. Shay.

Running 34:00 [3] 3.0 mi (11:20 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ariel

Ahhhh, back to regular training again. Testing is done. I'm free. I'm completely through with all my AP and IB exams YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

I just did a short run around the neighborhood today. I took my Moreau Lakes map with me just as a training exercise, and I planned through every leg on the course. I have no idea if that helped my orienteering skill or not.

P.S. Sorry to Izzy B, my training buddy, for being absent this past week. I feel really horrible about not answering your comments (I just found that you had left me one from 5 days ago!) I promise to give you some more training to comment on and I'll do my job checking in with you :)
