Orienteering 8:30 [3] 1.1 km (7:44 / km)

Had a bad time getting to number one. Then I got stuck in the woods coming out of 3. I definitely should've warmed up before this too because my legs were stiff.

Orienteering 13:31 [3] 1.8 km (7:31 / km)

Memory o.

Killed it. Without other runners on the course I could've gotten into and out of controls a minute or two faster but it was fun and fast.

Orienteering 25:10 [3] 1.5 km (16:47 / km)

Corridor o

Walked it because it was hot and I had set out the controls. Also, on the memory o a few of the guys and girls in my platoon said that they had walked their course with out any mistakes when we were debriefing. To see if they were telling the truth I figured walking it at a slow pace would determine if they were lying or not. If they were more than 2-3 minutes behind me then I went over their splits to see what happened and where and how it could've been avoided or fixed. I'm really enjoying this debriefing, starting to feel like Erin asking all the JST members how their courses were at A meets.

Orienteering 52:53 [3] 2.5 km (21:09 / km)

Contour o

Walked it again because I also set out half of these controls and it hadn't gotten any cooler. I had some trouble getting to two but only because the power line distracted me. Then I had trouble finding 5, which is kinda my fault. I navigated to where it should've been and was confident I was in the right place. I knew something was wrong because I hung the control and couldn't even find it. I finally found it way out of the circle and finished the course but felt bad about it for the other runners. Everyone that made it that far was determined to finish and still found it but yeah. I think it was just the way I approached it when hanging it was easy to find the ribbon but from the contour course route you completely bypass it.

Picking up memory o

Running 6:00 [3] 0.75 mi (8:00 / mi)

Warm up, jog to the start. Couldn't go too long because they wanted to start.

Running 19:21 [3] 5.0 km (3:52 / km)

We ran just after waking up and on empty stomachs. I originally wanted to race it hard but it was hard to. I still had to go fast to keep up with Noah but when he started dry heaving I ran the rest of it on my own at a decent pace.

It may have been more than a 5k but if so not by much. It was just difficult because it was 5 1000m sections on the same stretch of road with a lot of climb and after having nothing to eat. But it was interesting to see the cadets actually keeping up with us this year. Shout out to Henry county for keeping them in shape.

Orienteering 25:00 [3]

Putting out controls for the... Window o?

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

I slept through the sprint in the morning because I wasn't feeling good and then set out controls for the window o. Since I set out the controls for it I didn't run it, but I felt kinda lazy so I helped Mr. Shannonhouse set out controls for the corridor o. Sorta walked/jogged it but my navigation was spot on so... Successful?

Orienteering 23:22 [3] 3.4 km (6:52 / km)

Motala
Had a great run and then about a two minute mistake on control 10. I tried to pick up the pace to see if I could come in first but Connor got me by a good 30 seconds.

Orienteering 20:00 [3]

Walking with Connor to clear the radio controls. I'm pretty sure this was on Monday but I'm not exactly sure what time of day it would've been. Probably after the motala or motabola as some would say.

Note

I should've run today but this is the last day I'll have with my dad until August and I don't get to see him very often so I spent the day with him instead.

Running 41:15 [3] 5.5 mi (7:30 / mi)

I felt good enough to run again and wanted to go fast. I did a 200 and two 100s in 27 and 13s. It felt really good. The rest of the run was at a chilled pace.

Performance training 1:15:00 [3]

Last scheduled day at unlocked. I'm going to miss the soreness and training with John Williams and Nicole Davis.
