Trail Run 52:52 [3] 2.9 mi (18:14 / mi) +882m 9:22 / mi

I've been to a few weddings with a pre-wedding run. Usually they're pretty benign.

Then there was Jess and Lincoln's wedding. Leave at 6:30. Run up Mount Equinox. 5k and 900m of climb, or so.

And we ran it. Well, I did a lot of hiking, realizing I'd climbed 2700m in the previous five days. Felt pretty good pushing upwards, and was able to run the last bit to the top. Lovely.

Trail Run 36:03 [1] 2.9 mi (12:26 / mi)

And then we went down. No one wanted any sprained ankles. It was fun.

Run 43:49 [3] 2.2 mi (19:55 / mi) +709m 9:57 / mi

50 sections today. After yesterday's fun (1500m) this was … hard. Also, being out of practice. And it was hot. But I persevered. Barely.

Trail Run 2:31:06 [1] 5.6 mi (26:59 / mi) +1195m 16:14 / mi

Huntington! I was going to try to run 50k yesterday but it didn't happen since I couldn't get a ride. I think I may have been sleeping off illness, but felt better today. Off to the Whites to fetch a bag of stuff that I needed to get (long story) with a quick jaunt to see friends at Lakes on the way (also have friends at Mizpah and Galehead, shucks).

I decided to run up Huntington. Well, run is an interesting word for it. Ran up Tucks (sort of) to the junction. Rockhopped to Huntington. Climbed up Huntington, which is the only way to do it. Super fun, of course. Then ran Alpine Garden to the hut. 2:30 for less than 10k? Well, yeah, but some hand-over-hand climbing. Don't fall!

Trail Run 1:35:00 [1] 4.7 mi (20:13 / mi) +221m 17:38 / mi

Lakes was basically closed. There was a bedbug scare (no bedbugs, but all guests were canceled) and it was eerily quiet. Of course, as I was leaving several late hiking parties came through and had to be routed down. Feel for the croo, and management. Kind of a shitshow.

Down the Ammy a bit checking on a goofer then up to Southside, across, and down Tucks. Not my fastest time down. And I beat up my legs. Should have taken the Sherbie.

Run 1:22:11 [1] 9.0 mi (9:08 / mi) +226m 8:28 / mi

Sometimes you go for a run and it just feels … terrible.

This was one of those times. I had no get-up-and-go. Struggled up the first hill and the idea of taking the KOM up out of Kents Hill was gone. It was a beautiful day: 70s, dry and breezy, but my legs felt like bricks. Probably the first day rollerskiing the day before. Just felt lousy.

Barely made it around the lake running. Barely. Ugh.
