So, O is easier at Peter's Hill when a) Alex doesn't march you up the hill four or five times and b) you've run the map enough that you know the features which might contain controls. I ran very cleanly, didn't make a single real mistake (the mistakes that show on AP are where Izzy must have punched a couple of controls during pick-up, because she won those by a lot) and lost to Brendan by 7 second (and Giacomo by a lot more than that, he was moving). I actually did some orienteering, and a bit of Ed following.
Feeling a bit better than usual about my ability to find things in the woods than usual after Peter's. Several times I was almost surprised when the control was right where I expected it to be, and I'd gone straight there. That's a nice feeling. Or I spent so much time wandering around looking for things (and getting scared off by raccoon) in the past that I know the area well.
