Running 1:00:54 [3] 6.27 mi (9:43 / mi) +70m 9:23 / mi

Note

Well my lack of planning has payed off once again. Thinking my run was about 5 miles I ended up running 6 and a quarter, which it didn't feel like so I am going to take that as a good thing.
Mapping yesterday showed me some glaring problems with my mapping. The area I was working had little in the way of features to triangulate off of, thus inaccuracies became quite noticeable. This has shown me the holes I need to fill in, in my understanding of this project.

Running 51:55 [3] 5.56 mi (9:20 / mi) +56m 9:03 / mi

Note

Well finally getting back into the swing of things. Between travel and travel and a little more travel, these past few weeks of rest have been anything but. At least I could get caught up on my sleep, though only barely. It certainly was time to start running again and soon to continue mapping though that is another project entirely.
Today was a nice easy run to start up, and to see some new development in my town. A new house was almost finished that I don't even remember the land being cleared for so that shows how out of the loop I have been. Even though today was entirely on the roads I hope to get back into the woods soon, despite any health risks (its EEE season in Mass again).
While I am in the woods many people (me included) would say that I need to finish mapping for my eagle project. The whole process of mapping has been enlightening and has given me newfound respect for those mappers who have made the maps that we always run on. Not only that but as training it has certainly been an insight into how a mapper simplifies a map and has thus helped me to be able to understand what will and will not be mapped.
