Bit of a different route today, trying to build up to some longer rides in and to see how the fitness was doing. Wind was pretty strong which meant this was hard work for most of the ride.
Up over to Tutbury, then along the Dove through Scropton to Doveridge fighting the wind. North to Long Lane, where noticed front tyre was looking a little funny, stopped and discovered a puncture of some sort. Pumped up tyre and continued - turned out to be a slow puncture so stopped another 3 times before home.
Back home via Cubley, south past Church Broughton where missed a turning, then Hatton, Marston and Rolleston. Wind still blustery even round these bits, felt like I hardly ever had a tailwind... Fitness level didn't feel great, which isn't surprising given recent weeks. Also various twinges of cramp in both calves which shouldn't be happening on rides of this length.
