Orienteering 1:19:30 [4] 11.1 km (7:10 / km) +180m 6:37 / km
ahr:186 max:199 shoes: 2013 VJ Supra

Compass Sport Cup Qualifier - Broxbourne.

An ok run, with one stupid mistake - trying to read vague detail into a control rather than attacking straight from the bridge. A 2.5 minute loop round and I was eventually where I should have been. Today I was focussing a bit too much on trying to run hard rather than on the technique, and it showed in a couple of other places too. Though the GPS suggests #16 was about 30m south of where it should have been. But the poor route on the next one shouldn't have happened - not enough map reading going on in general...

Still feeling the remaining effects of the illness a little, but more the issue is a lack of recent running/faster stuff - didn't have the pace to run well around a fast area like that.

GPS distance - 12.65km

From hotel in the evening - airways still too full of gunk for my liking, felt harder than in should have been. Unsurprisingly, feet were soggy after this. Hoping it'll feel a bit easier on Sunday.

Over to Shobnall (1.6k/7:05, ahr 170), bog trot on a loop around Anslow (8.85k/72:40, ahr 148), and back home (1.45k/7:30, ahr 161). Very wet underfoot, gathered a good amount of mud out there. Lungs still not feeling great, but feeling better afterwards.
