To Berkhamsted via Ley Hill and Bovingdon, then up to Ashridge from the south, north and west, before back via Chesham and up the last hill to home.

The first ascent of Ashridge felt too easy, but the hills got harder after that. Slight twinge in the knee again on the steepest hill, so just dropped into a low gear and 'spun' up - was in quite a low gear for the last couple of hills too, which meant about 3.30 min/k up the final mile-long 5%er.

Easy run out to see what ached... No reaction from the ITB, but top of calf was sore.

Decent evening, and legs feeling better, so a short ride around the usual loop from home. Aim was to keep it easy, spinning at a good cadence but without feeling out of breath or with tired legs. This just meant dropping down a gear or two lower than normal on most sections, which was fine for today to ease back into things.
