Walking 30:00 [2]
shoes: Scarpa Cristallo
Not really motivated this weekend with the continuous showers and the hayfever hanging around. Certain routes are almost off limits due to undergrowth now as well. Felt I should do something though.
There are hills around Burton that are steep but not long, thought they could be useful to remind the muscles what it'll be like in a couple of weeks. So wandered out west in boots (to make things more difficult) and with pack, and then did:
2x Reservoir Road
2x Oaks Wood Steps
6x Outwoods Hills field
2x Oaks Wood Steps
2x Reservoir Road
1x Sinai Park - terrain-y, but not steep enough to be effective.
Felt like I was working hard at times but the 'down' recoveries on some were a touch too long to keep the effort level up.
Total time out ~1.5 hours, including 15 mins there and back.
