Orienteering 41:15 [3] 6.2 km (6:39 / km) +235m 5:36 / km
shoes: 2011 VJ Supra

British Relays - 3rd leg, South London Men's 2.

No real pressure, as earlier leg mispunched - dropped a couple of minutes out there but nothing major. Some gaffles felt pretty close on the groundon similar looking features, meaning some hesitation. Legs feeling relatively good after yesterday's exertions.

Event: BOC 2012

Orienteering 2:20:00 [3] 15.6 km (8:58 / km) +690m 7:21 / km
shoes: 2011 VJ Supra

British Long - M21E. Would have been really pleased with this had I not blown 4 minutes on the antepenltimate control. As it was, still a fair number of positives to take away from the race.

Warm up/down 6:00 [1]
shoes: 2011 VJ Supra

Easy warm down jog around the assembly field with Helen and Ollie. I think that's a first for after a classic race...

Running 39:00 [3]
shoes: Walsh 2011

From hotel around the local woodland - felt pretty terrible, heavy legs, plodding along. Hope that's that out of the system...

Running 1:50:00 [3] 17.5 km (6:17 / km) +500m 5:30 / km
shoes: Walsh 2011

North Downs - loop from Friday Street to Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill and Holmbury YH on the Surrey Hills race route. No water/food, calves started to cramp about 80 mins in.

One test route that didn't work out very well, and one of the normal routes is now hidden under brashings. And narrowly avoided treading on an adder, which was making the most of the break in the weather no doubt.

Rough route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5438198

Climb figure in rough ballpark; ~65mins to top of Pitch Hill, slowed a fair bit after that.
