Running 56:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 1120

Planned something a bit longer today - to the Trent, along the riverside path to Branston then back home along the canal. Start, end and a small link in Branston were paved but the rest mainly on grassy paths.

The two halves will work ok as ~30min runs home from the office in the coming weeks.

Note
(rest day)

Clubs and associations conference in Sheffield. Some interesting stuff coming out, even more food for thought.

Also realised that I have two of my maps being used in the space of 24 hours next weekend - hoping everything runs smoothly on both.

Running 34:30 [3]
shoes: Asics 1120

Northern part of the Trent Washlands this evening. Mainly parkland with a few bits of rougher stuff, could avoid the paved bits except when crossing bridges. Left ITB a bit tight, needs a stretch.

Running 32:00 [3] 5.6 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: Asics 1120

So a vague plan has been hatched to do some training a bit more regularly...

Starting off with ~30 mins every other day, and today was a little exploratory run around the southern half of the Trent Washlands. It's the Burton equivalent of Portmeadow - flat as a pancake, mainly grassland, with some paths winding through and about 5 mins run from the flat. Looped around a couple of the fenced fields, and through the "Wildlife Woodland" before heading back. Felt relatively relaxed, which I guess it should at that pace.
