Cycling 1:00:00 [3] 24.3 km (24.3 kph) +160m
shoes: Red Asics 1120

Making the most of the unseasonally warm weather - went out on the bike after work on a loop ~24k in length, partly to see whether there are some places a bit further out of town that are worth running around. Quads didn't like me for the first 15 mins or so, but after that the route became a bit flatter/downhill and I could get up some speed. Plenty of countryside within easy access around here - and once you can't hear the A38 it's even nicer.

Running 1:15:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:15 / km) +75m 6:04 / km
shoes: Red Asics 1120

Bit more exploring out west, slight variation on last week's route but heading the other way. Down the towpath to Branston Water Park - first 15 mins or so felt awful. Along the bridlepath to Millennium Wood, up to the ridge and then across to another small section of wood. Missed a turning here, some night-O through the low trees with the Petzl failed to find the right path. Eventually got back on track, and the running was feeling much easier by now, felt I was moving quite well on the last bit back along the road.

Definitely need a map of some description to explore the woodland better - some aerial photos will do to start...
