Cycling 37:00 [2] 16.7 km (27.1 kph) +45m
ahr:148 shoes: Shimano Road Shoes

Feeling a bit lazy today but the late afternoon sunshine tempted me out for a quick spin on the bike. Short loop round to Chiselhampton and Clifton Hampden, no real hills but a bit more breeze than I was expecting. Legs didn't feel like they had a great deal in them, but haven't done a lot on the bike recently.

Warm up/down 15:00 [2] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: 2009 Falcons

Jog to and around start beforehand, then a loop along the lane and through the woods via start/finish after the run

Blue course at Bloom Wood - focus was to go steady and spike everything, minimal hesitation and decent control flow. Reading the map well, compass use fairly minimal and when using it, often making small corrections off features rather than blindly following the needle. Bad exit/missed the best route out of the penultimate control, 15" lost at best, but that was the only real error around the course - happy with that.

'Steady' pace felt a bit of effort, HR higher than would expect but the woods are so open in the main part, maybe was moving faster than I thought...

GPS distance - 6.6km

Cycling 41:15 [2] 17.0 km (24.7 kph) +40m

Long route home - over to the B480 and back the usual lab route. Strong SW wind made it slow going at times.

Circuits 40:00 [1]

Feeling a bit off-colour today, so a very laid-back session, just stretched during the jumpy/tough exercises.

This is going to be an easy week - probably no running 'til the weekend to give the ankle a chance to recover.
