Training Log Archive: IanW

Last few bits of the Cambridge map, had to namedrop my way past the porters to get access to a college that was 'closed' for the vacation; a couple of other bits which are often open were also locked up. Think everything's now done, I'm pretty sure there'll be a few details missing though given I was still noticing trees and other little things I'd missed despite having been through some areas on a few occasions... Just have to fight my way though the Ocad now and the job's a good'un.

Total survey time ~42hrs - not particularly efficiently - for an area of 2.25 square km.

Few bits of survey after arriving a bit later than planned, the temporary ice rink I found in the middle of Parker's Piece is due to disappear next week so no need for that to go on. Plus some checking of already-mapped bits on way back through to Christ's place - everything looked fine and easily readable at 1:2500, the challenge is to get it looking good at 1:5000!
