Orienteering 37:00 [2]
shoes: 2008 Falcons

OUOC Training Day - no paths course. Body not feeling up to much so took it slowly, mind not quite with it either in places, confused by the mapping and strange goings-on with control codes. Need to focus on technique from attackpoint - getting there is fine, getting from it to control not always so good.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2]

Training day - visualisation course with Scott. Idea was like relocation except a bit more relevant - you take the other person's map, get to within 150m or so of the control and let them take over. Hopefully other person has been paying enough attention along the way that they have a rough idea of what's going on and won't just headless chicken. Generally fine, avoided the pheasant shooters, got Scott confused a couple of times and found a large axe in the forest...

Orienteering 30:00 [1]

Started relay simulation but was clear by #2 that pain at top of left calf, (a la Bernwood), was back, body was feeling tired after the illness (2 sessions more than enough) and stomach wasn't happy either. Walked round from #2 to #5 then back to bus.

After bit of a wait for the rest of the crew to reappear, had a brief walk to pick up a couple of flags, while Scott went to retrieve the axe, to add to the collection which also comprises the club sledgehammer.

Note

Calf actually quite tender, to cycle/walk on now too - driving is bad. bit of ice and rest should do some good I hope. Strange how didn't feel anything last w/e though.
