Mapping 1:00:00 [0]

Another hour wandering around the streets of Oxford. Map is slowly taking shape...

Note

Feel really clogged up and rubbish. Concentration span very short, not sure why I'm still in the office...

Cycling 20:00 [3]

To Thornhill - pushed it a bit more than usual as was in a bit of a rush (me, late? Never...) and finally got the run on traffic lights. Some idiot cyclist/volvo combination slowed things down through the roadworks over Magdalen bridge/st clements...

Orienteering 46:00 [4] ** 5.8 km (7:56 / km) +170m 6:55 / km

Summer series at Downley. Terrible run, felt sluggish, couldn't make sense of the map - partly down to the poor mapping (couldn't really really on veg or contours), partly cos the symbols were too small, got lucky with the mishung control (10m down the slope, 70m off where should have been) and just snatched 2nd place in a weak field. Trying to read ahead on some controls was pointless as few features meant "go on compass" was order of the day. Rubbish...

Orienteering 26:00 [2] ** 2.1 km (12:23 / km) +70m 10:37 / km

Collecting in Y loop. Noticing hamstring was tight, tweaked it yesterday during circuits. Walked a lot, difficult to run with controls in hand. Still missed #3 left as had done first time, positioning seemed vaguely right though relative to the paths.

Cycling 21:30 [1]

Back home from Thornhill, relatively easy for the most part. Legs and body felt tired going up High St. Endurance is currently rubbish. Would run more but then get injured. Need to go and see a proper physio...

Circuits 50:00 [3]

A "45 second on" circuits session, where the 45 seconds was at Mr Marsden's whim. Which meant anything from 45 - 90 seconds in some cases. It was probably this that made me think missing a week wasn't a good idea... Got to missing out 'knees' on heads, shoulders, knees and toes.

Warm up/down 6:00 [1]

Short warm up/down before/after circuits
