Orienteering race 51:00 [5] 8.0 km (6:23 / km)

BUSA Relays, Warwick Uni. Fast and flat was promised and that's pretty much how it was. Running at my limit, which seems to be lower now than it was 4 weeks or so ago, not used to all these big races in one go perhaps? lost some time in the small woodland bit directionally and sliding around - the only bit where dobs would have been useful, and on route choice/hesitation near the end. Was great to hear Cerys had won when passed through the second spectator, where I was apparently also told that Ed had mispunched for OUOC 1 so it was fortunate I got round OK! Another good weekend for OUOC, especially for the girlies! :)

Orienteering race 1:29:00 [4] 10.8 km (8:14 / km)

BUSA Individual, Bentley Woods. Not too bad a run, intentionally started off slow and steady but never managed to pick up the pace and ended up just trying to make it to the end. and the numerous river crossings, in steep sided reentrants, got tiresome after the first few. On the technical side, a couple of mistakes nowhere near as bad as last week, lost 4-5 mins in total but otherwise pretty clean. Having the car park next to a pub was inspired - needed a couple of pints after that :)

Orienteering 40:00 [4] 5.2 km (7:42 / km)

JK Relays, Hopwas. First leg of Men's Short for OUOC, vast improvement on previous 2 days but still lost 2.5 mins at one control and about 2 mins elsewhere including going to wrong thicket after the spectator control... Control flow lacking in parts - something to work on.
