110 hours of running/orienteering this year. Up from 66ish in 2016.
Happy with the progress, happy how my body reacted to training, not too happy about the actual total - it's mini.
Had a nice stretch in the late summer which felt fantastic - lots of km's, and the knee held up.
Didn't attempt a sub 37 10k before I turned 38.
New goal is a sub 37 before I turn 39. Other than that, maybe a 2:58 marathon - I think my limbs are better suited for longer distances these days and can handle 4:13/km for the 42.
I know I'll continue to have the same challenges limiting my training, (crazy work hours, sleep, diet, parenting 2 little ones), but it's all good. Dadding is a joy which I obviously never want to change, the other stuff is a lot tougher. Changing behaviour isn't easy - at least for me.
Haven't even mentioned mapping, event organization, course setting and the whatnot - probably the most time consuming of all!
There's more to say, but not now...off to bathe Annie and Hanky!!
Sweetie pies...
