Running (In jean shorts) 10:10 [5] 1.6 km (6:21 / km) +112m 4:42 / km

Up Caledon Mountain. From Brimstone to the dead end of Creditview Road.

Difficulty due to Mick Jagger-like jean tightness around the quads.

To pick up the car after a hike down with Thanh and the kids.

Other than the top of the rockface, Annie took it home!

Ironman buddy wanted me to pace him at 8:45/mile over 20 miles. Pretty much nailed it. Legs/body were super cold and tight once the sun set.

Note

My playlist of the best Canadian artist (and his band) that few have heard of.

Destroyer - Dan Bejar, from Vancouver.
(Also part of New Pornographers)

Their album list is extensive, In a lot of it, he's a little too rambly and spoken wordy and the music is bland/meh. But throughout there are some gems - ones where his band especially shines. These are my favourites. (2002 - 2017)

https://itunes.apple.com/ca/playlist/curated-destr...

The list is heavy with songs from their album Kaputt (2011). Can't get enough of the saxophone on that one. I have fond memories of driving down the Pacific coast of southern Costa Rica, and the west coast of Sardinia pumping them tunes - a perfect listen for a left coast by a west coaster.

'Hey, Snow White' is epic - normally their live show closer or encore.

Quick boot to pick up Annie at Montessori.

It's fun to run with an empty chariot aggressively, (sometimes with no hands), and observe the reactions of passersby.

Personal tour de Toronto half marathon at marathon pace.

Would have been a perfect 21.1 to my doorstep if my fat thumb hadn't stopped things.

Railpath - Lansdowne - zigzags through Brockton Village - explored the grounds of the CAMH psych hospital - Shaw - Wellington - Bathurst - Front - almost Parliament.

Starting raining...wind picked up...retreated home.

Stiff headwind westward along Queen's Quay - zag to Lakeshore - Strachan - Exhibition Grounds - Dufferin Gates - Parkdale - Brock - zigzags to Lansdowne - St. Helen's - fat thumb - Home.

Trinity Bellwoods Park with an inclusion of the CAMH facility is now another favourite potential sprint area.

Hamstrings loosened up today.
