Orienteering race (Australian sprint champs) 19:51 [5] 2.8 km (7:05 / km)
shoes: Salomon s-lab

Yet another race riddled with frustrating mistakes that I just don't know how I make. Incredibly frustrating to be constantly making little errors on every course I start. Starting to really wonder what I'm doing wrong to keep making big errors on every course. :/

Note

Due I recent overuse injury I won't be starting the aus long distance champs. I don't want to risk chronic tendinitis by running such a tough race injured + I haven't done nearly enough preparation to perform well in such a long event. I will be running the spring, middle and relay races.

Orienteering race (NSW long) 30:00 [3] **** 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

Pulled out at #10 as my Achilles really flared up badly. Decided running ~11km of hills with a bad leg wasn't the brightest idea. Jogged back gingerly.

Orienteering race (NSW Middle champs) 46:00 [5] **** 6.5 km (7:05 / km)

Miss punched on #14 unfortunately. Also lost huge chunks of time on #3, #12,#20 and #21 adding up to about 8~9 mins overall. Speed in the forest was good despite really swollen achilles. I just need to figure out how to make my 4 minute mistakes into 1 minute mistakes or better yet not get lost for no reason due to losing concentration/not being confident enough. Another frustrating race.

Running (Long Run) 1:40:00 [3] 20.45 km (4:53 / km)
shoes: Salomon s-lab

Run with macey. Not really sure where we went cause it was dark. Legs decided they'd had enough by about 15km so the last 5km was a real struggle. Shall be hobbling around tomorrow hopefully recover in time for the nsw middle.

Running 1:06:05 [3] 13.17 km (5:01 / km)

Run with macey down the newie coast. Some super intense climbs involved. Macey came through strong in the last half as always.

Orienteering race (Hunter valley Champs) 1:06:47 [4] **** 6.3 km (10:36 / km)

I approached this race pretty seriously and with the intent to maintain focus through 100% of the race. Almost worked too! 1 control I lost focus and I ended up losing 10 minutes on Kas and Alex on that control. I had to keep talking to myself to keep focus through the rest of the course. Was on time to be about 2 mins down on the lead but my massive cock, up was enough to put me way down. Disappointed but encouraged that I very nearly pulled it off.

Running warm up/down (Hunter valley Champs) 10:00 [2]

Running race (Park Run) 18:25 [5] 5.0 km (3:41 / km)
shoes: Salomon s-lab

Very hungover but felt alright running. New PB for me. Hopefully I'll break into the 17s soon.

Running intervals (5 * 300m) 10:00 [5] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Salomon s-lab

Some intervals with Kas. Felt so rough afterwards which means I may have found an area I need to focus on.

shoes: Salomon s-lab

Quick warm down to the top of sugarloaf to do some stretching and take in the views.
