off road 1:13:03 [4] 8.0 mi (9:08 / mi)

CW North from Dog. Ideal running conditions, bone dry little wind not too hot -foot on the gas from the start, 37 mins to the turn so not surprisingly a bit fatigued on return - delighted with this time

Note

A couple of hours walking in boots exploring some ideas for Bradley Stoke

Friday May 12, 2017 #

off road 1:40:00 [3] 9.5 mi (10:32 / mi)

Nice, social run with Pete and Jo along Ridgeway from West Kennett to Ogbourne St George

Thursday May 11, 2017 #

orienteering (Urban) 52:00 [3] 6.0 km (8:40 / km)

Bradley Stoke East 6 km street course 49.54 ran late in day to allow some recovery particularly on knee - 2 small mistakes so concentration not too sharp

Ran at Pomphrey Hill - warmed up and then 5km of 2min efforts with 90 secs break - don't know how many and did one extra
2 AM

Controlling 1:00:00 [2] 4.0 km (15:00 / km)

Planning Pomphrey to Siston
Knee very sore and swollen had thought about BOK run but had to bail out

Note

Travel and with lots on ended up not running probably a good idea

I did really enjoy the trip to Sheffield and the Lakes with Laura and Evie, we seemed to be able to make the split starts work although orienteering with a small one in tow is not easy.

Weekend was overshadowed by the end of Margarette's struggle which has made us all very sad

Sunday May 7, 2017 #

off road 15:00 [2] 0.7 mi (21:25 / mi)

Warm up
1 AM

orienteering race 34:42 [5] 3.4 km (10:12 / km)

British Relays at Summerhouse Knott. Quite a good run (leading time 32 mins) but not good enough to challenge - as third leg had opportunity to take notice of others comments and ran quite cautiously especially in first part where there was fallen timber -lots of controls. Missed no 3 as pushed off line rest really ok but particularly second half (easier) could have been smoother
