running 15:00 [0] 1.5 km (10:00 / km)

Little bit of a WU with Laura and then a measly warm down because I’d gone over on my running quota :p
10 AM

orienteering 41:00 [3] 6.5 km (6:18 / km)

Scottish Relays 5.2km for EUOC 3 first leg
Took the first 3 in the green pretty steady not to be rushed off at the start and then bumbled along nicely before realising I was actually doing quite well at the front of the WO with Grace and Laura. When I realised this I then ran a bit faster to get ahead and then obv started making mistakes (hesitant at 10 (20s), too left on 12 (1min ish), too far north at 15 (1min), and then at 17 I thought I was 18 so headed in 19s direction but obv got very confused and bumbled around for a while before heading back to 17 and realising I was there and not at 18 (2mins)).
Oh well, was super fun so I’m happy, and still came back in 3rd :). Very stoked how the body responded to not only two days running in a row, but two days “racing”- given me the confidence boost I needed for hopefully some upcoming hills. :D

12 PM

orienteering 1:00:00 [3] 7.8 km (7:42 / km)

Scottish Champs course 6 (w18e/w20e)- Archagour
Very physically tough but felt able to cope with the terrain, but running too fast for my nav (5mins at no.4- so close but lost confidence and went back in from the fence; 5mins at no.7 (confused the path with the pylons so went in on the marsh too early and ended up on the wrong hillside; 3 at no. 9 (contours didn’t make sense)+ lots of flaffing.
Had so much fun though and won the last 2 splits so happy I feel fit! Looking forward to tomorrow :)

Note

Been insanely hungry all the time this week (and eaten lots of food...)

6 AM

running 55:00 [3] 8.75 km (6:17 / km) +400m 5:07 / km

Stairs to the top, down the main track, highest point of the crags and back down again, Purkos, down dasses and to the gym (then home from the gym after).
Had to be done early as busy day. Last run from the flat before I move over to New Town next week for a month which means I'll probs cycle over so I can still get my runs in off road. Foggy, my fav :-). Felt good after lots of food yest.
7 AM

Gym 1:00:00 [0]

Changing things up to suit me, definitely cannot squat heavy twice a week. Normal mob and pillar, then three sets of everything:
- 6+6 backwards lunge with 30kg on back, 10 goblet squats 12kg with band.
- 10 OH press 17.5kg, 16 glute bridge on ball with band
- 10 pressups, 10 MB slams
- 16 plank side push, 20 bicycles, and 8+8 side MB wall slams

Gym 1:00:00 [0]

Day off work so took the chance to get in the perf gym. Think 2 sessions of focussed S+C is good: will try and continue.
Normal WU stuff, no jumping sets, 3x3BS 52.5kg, 3x5 deadlift 50kg, clap pushups and MB slams + 10 goblet squats with band, core circuit.
Felt so much stronger this evening compared to the how I feel in the morning!
