I managed to get rid of all the plastic bags collected since we went into lockdown, with a stop at Price Chopper. Then on to recycling. We walked from the skateboard park down the trail and around the high school. Best of weather.

Tried to do the West Campus Control Picking Course, and messed up. I was good until somewhere after 30. I need to reflect on what I did wrong, but I got on the wrong side of Iowa Street, and did lots of wandering off the map That is the bad news. The good news is that I need to go back and try again. I used the app, and my map is not completely synchronized. Most of the time, I got the music. On a couple of controls I didn't, but knew I was in the right place. A couple of times the music came on early, before I had actually got to the control point. Also, on my next time out, I need to bring food for the mental slump at the one-hour mark, and also use my inhaler. Except for being lost, I had lots of fun.

Note
(rest day)

Poured rain all day, and I'm still somewhat sore. So, except for my daily early morning walk the dog, I stayed in and lazed a bit.

Very easy exercise today, since I'm sore and still coughing up blood from yesterday's mining exploration. Good to get out and walk. I have been feeling like a slug.

Note
(rest day)

Today I went to the hospital for an ENB--Electro-Navigational-Bronchoscopy. Kind of a cross between orienteering and geocaching in my lung with GPS. The bad part was parallel errors, it took 11 tries to find the right reentrant, and my chest really hurts on the right side. But, this was so much better than 11 years ago--that involved no anaesthesia, large needles, and an all day way to make sure I didn't get a collapsed lung. Propofol (?) is really good stuff. Good to be home, and Bob is a good nurse. Elray went to doggy day care.

Barely training, but a lovely morning. Warm, and somewhat muggy, but cloudy with a nice breeze. I mostly stood around for 3-4 minutes while Elray "walked the doggy", but I did a couple of runs toward her to get her going. We parked at Mack Porter and went over the bridge to Jesse James as far as the main trail and then back. On the way home, we saw a pileated woodpecker in our neighborhood.

A shortened walk at Mack Porter. I am having an easy day. We wanted to get home to do some outdoor stuff, and it was already really hot and muggy. And my sugar snaps are blooming.
