Dog Walking 23:06 [1] 1.85 km (12:29 / km) +16m 11:58 / km

Lots of errands to run and recycling. We took Riverfront trail by the high school and around. And my third library stop since they opened back up for pickup only last Monday. I have books again.

Slogging 58:44 [5] 6.08 km (9:39 / km) +40m 9:21 / km

Watkins Mill clockwise. I did a bit of slogging, but mostly race walking. I think this was a bit faster than the last time I went around--less than an hour. My first km was 9:08, and the next four were also under 10 min/km. My fenix recorded that my aerobic and anaerobic training for this were both 5's. So I feel pretty satisfied that I made a good effort. The temp. was 85 when I started and 86 when I finished. So I sucked water on the way home, and had a big recovery drink of chocolate milk at home.

Mack Porter park. A lot of it walking on grass. I know this barely qualifies as training, but Bob wanted to get back home to plant his corn before the rain, and I had to have a COVID-19 test.

Getting the test was an adventure. They had told me on the phone that there was a tent by the NKC Hosp. emergency entrance. I couldn't find the tent, so I got out and asked. I was told to drive back around the building and I would see the tent. Couldn't see the tent. So I drove around to Pavilion parking, parked, and went into screening. Asked them. They had to go somewhere else to find out, then came back and told me it was on the other side of the emergency entrance in one of the parking lots. I asked to see a map, of course. They found a map (only had one, I couldn't keep it) and I saw where I needed to go, and went. No tent. It was two parking lots in under a hospital overhang. I thought they were going to mine my nose, but got lucky. I had to give them 5 ml of spit in a test tube. Harder than it sounds. I finally got it, turned in my test tube, and returned home in the rain. An adventure.

Lots of gardening today. First, I weeded the blueberries--it looks like a great crop, but the clover and crownvetch were running wild. That got my heart rate up and took about an hour. Then we planted tomatoes and cucumbers, with all the needed prep work. Then I planted a row of beans to finish with.

Finally, a day without early morning dr appt, so I could again do dog-walking with Bob and Elray. Mack Porter, plus walk the doggy. I actually did a short (100m, maybe)slog back to the car, then went around the other side of the loop to meet back up with them. Overcast, cool, a fine mist falling.
6 PM

Note

I did 3 sets of 20 reps each, alternating squats and sit-ups.

Today I have felt really bad--very tired.

Note

A CT scan of my mouth this morning to check that the removed cyst hasn't returned and the bone graft is ok. It was. Don't have to think about this until next year. I needed some good news. Also, the library has reopened. You can't go in, but they bring your holds out. Yeah. I needed some books. Maybe now I can be motivated to do more exercising.

Mack Porter around the loop, plus walk the doggy. Bob hasn't been feeling well for about a week, so we have been cutting our walks a bit short.

Long on Northwoods Trail. I did this over to use my phone, and it mostly worked ok. My gps must be slightly different--I didn't get the music on a couple of controls, even spending extra time walking around where they should be. I also did get music a few times before I thought I had got to the right place. Mostly it was just lots of fun. I forgot to use my inhaler beforehand. A mistake.
