A fun course at Kill Creek. I did the intermediate, and came in second. Sev only beat me by two minutes, so that was better than usual for me. No problem finding the controls, and my map reading was good today. I was satisfied with my route choices until the last control to the finish. A do over would be a good idea on this one. Very tough going through the rougn open. And a did a bit of running when on pavement or hard dirt. Most of the trek was on leaf covered rocks, and this was all walking.

Mack Porter and over the bridge to Jesse James. Then a trek around the east loop. Elray was into sniff overtime mode, so I did a bit of doggy towing.

Mostly ran around the block, including our driveway coming and going. A few short walk breaks and most of the time I was huffing and puffing like the little engine that couldn't. A good baseline. I only got harassed by three dogs.

A tough Monday. The CHOW was holding squat position, and hooking the bag. I did 620. My heart rate stayed up pretty much from round 4 through round 8.

Such a beautiful day. I took Elray with me, and we went to Weston Bend. I needed to add the new dog park to the map, and two connector trails. The park was full of people. I real surprise on a Monday. We went to the dog park area first, then after mapping, I let her race around off-leash. She did her usual racing in circles. Then we went to the tobacco barn, and took a trail south. It was extended down to the main green trail.

After returning, we went to the overlook area. We walked the Harpst Trail to the West Ridge Trail. The new connector goes down the really steep hill from the West Ridge to the Weston Bluffs trail. I had to be very careful of my knees going down, and we met lots of people and a few dogs. Then we turned around and walked back up. I had to keep slowing Elray down on the descent, and almost had to tow her a few time on the return trip. I also did some looking around for good control locations and routes. It was a fun afternoon.

Counter-clockwise out and back with Elray at Watkins Mill. Beautiful day, if somewhat windy. I thought I should probably not run today, because I did quite a bit of running yesterday, and am still getting over my sick. Feel good, but still a bit of congestion. A good walk.
